Hyundai Industrial Vehicles’ 'Cartainment (Car + Entertainment)' Video Production Scenes

Sub-culture-themed YouTube video combining fast-tempo remix music, actors dancing, and images and songs of Hyundai forklifts

The "cartainment video" was filmed in key spots of Gunsan Plant, the heart of cutting-edge smart forklift production.

A "forklift viral video" edited with unique techniques was filmed in the brand studio. Professional actors featured exciting dances in front of the green screen. The shooting location was filled with excitement as to how the video footage will be synthesized.

The video will be edited in a similar fashion to the YouTube video of Busan schools' superintendent who delivered a message of "mutual respect" edited with a remix-tone music to highlight the message of Hyundai industrial vehicles to customers. The music used in the edited version of the viral video will repeatedly deliver the message that the Hyundai forklift can move anything quickly and is worth immediately purchasing and using.

Actor Hyo-joong Kim who appeared in the video said, “Hyundai forklift was perceived with a heavy and serious image common to heavy industry products. But, the content of the viral video was so full of creative content beyond my expectation that I decided to join the production. I was drawn to associate forklift with a more familiar image during filming operations and hope the video content will be fun for everyone.

Actor Jin-seok Park who also appeared in the video added, “Hyundai forklifts looked unfamiliar to me as it was usually seen in logistics or construction sites. But, filming the video, I began to find Hyundai forklifts attractive, friendly and dependable.”

The sub-culture-themed viral video to be unveiled on Hyundai Industrial Vehicles TV will provide momentum for Hyundai industrial vehicles to feel more friendly toward customers.

"Forklift level-up" video that users can enjoy as if they were playing a game

Another viral video was filmed in Gunsan production plant. It is the "forklift level-up video" to be edited into vivid gameplay format. The video shows how a small-sized forklift evolves into a mid-sized, large-sized, and unmanned forklift in the end, as a player succeeds in accomplishing the mission of moving cargo that gets heavier and heavier as the game progresses.

An HCE marketing staff member in charge of the filming operation said, “A variety of computer graphic (CG) effects seen only in video games will be applied in this 1-minute-long funny video clip. Viewers can enjoy how the mission is accomplished with a Hyundai forklift like a game is being played.”

"Thousands of deep-faked faces" of Hyundai forklift

As a pioneer of technology innovation, HCE used the "deep fake" technology that has been used extensively recently to turn the rear image of a forklift into a lifelike human face. The video production team put makeup on the rear of the forklift like a human face so that the deep fake algorithm could recognize it as human face.

The marketing staff member of HCE said, "A forklift is easily seen in retail outlets or construction sites. We hope that our video clip will lead many people to develop friendly impressions on forklifts and find them more familiar and attractive. Viewers are requested to focus on the chemistry between the deep faked forklifts and actors dancing and performing next to them.”

Parody of the movie "Face Reader" - Hyundai forklifts rock the market!

The emergence of Hyundai forklift was filmed in a parody video clip inspired by the scene of the movie "Face Reader" in which Grand Prince Suyang first appeared. The actor playing the genius face reader Naekyeong in the video was awakened to the innovative competitiveness of Hyundai forklift when he was advised by another actor playing the role of Jong-seo Kim. The plot is about a fearful forklift that will turn the market upside down and reveal its secret identity.

The YouTube video clips described in text so far will all be unveiled on Hyundai Industrial Vehicles TV channel in August.
