‘H Story of November’ by HYUNDAI construction equipment (HCE)
2021-11-29
‘Construction equipment’ often has been considered hard and blunt by most people. It is considered difficult and distant, however, it is quite familiar to meet in our everyday lives. We want to unfold our story that anyone can relate to and enjoy, not just about the specifications and performance of the product. Meet us on HCE’s various social media: H story of November, STARTING NOW!
Leading Content in November: The product development story of HW155A meeting domestic emission regulations
As part of global climate warming measures, regulations on air pollutant emissions have been being reinforced. Having started to regulate emissions in 2004, South Korea is currently applying the ‘Tier 4’ standard. From April 2022, stricter ‘Tier 5’ level will begin. In response, HCE has created a wheel excavator called HW115A. Check its development story below.
HCE participating in CONEX KOREA 2021: The 11th Korea International Construction Equipment Exhibition
From 10th to 13th of November, HCE is participating in the 11th CONEX KOREA held in KINTEX. HCE will showcase new products. Meet our various content including smart solutions, eco-friendly zones, etc.

In the technology innovation center, various products are being developed with conducting tech tests; such as electric excavators, hydrogen excavators, etc. You can also visit attractions around the center!
Brand Journalism: Smart construction sites completed with AIoT
In general, construction equipment is likely to cause unexpected failures. Because it has to bear heavy loads for a long time, and it is difficult to detect defects only with the preceding symptoms. However, this problem can be solved with ‘AIoT’, which combines artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). Since Last January, HCE has also been starting a project to develop AI-based smart construction equipment with Amazon Web Service (AWS). How is it being applied to the construction?
Brand Journalism: Interview on product development
Construction machinery, which mainly uses diesel engines, emits a large amount of harmful substances such as SOx and NOx as well as carbon emissions. To solve this problem, HCE has been committed to developing various eco-friendly construction equipment. We met Sang-hoon Lee, a senior president of the Future Power Technology Team, and interviewed on the development of R18E, a mini electric excavator without exhaust emissions.
